We went to the site of the new school a few days ago. Everything is looking pretty good.
We have to go there again on October 23 for "上棟 建前"...
"Jyoutou" is the ceremonial raising of the main beam of the house.
Traditionally members of the community would gather at the site of the new house and help to raise the beam.
These days however ... they just use a crane.
On that day... I have to prepare a few things for the ceremony:
1. lunch boxes
2. pickles
3. snacks
4. tea
5. "ご祝儀" ~ Which should be between \5,000 ~ \7,500....
I am kinda curious what it will look like....
