It's SATURDAY NIGHT.....

Well, it's Saturday night and I have some free time...so... I decided to write another story about Vancouver....

When I was in Vancouver my mom recommended that we try a restaurant called “Green Lettuce” which is on Kingsway Street.

Before I went to the restaurant I was expecting some regular Chinese food but … the food was far from regular.

As it says on the window…. This restaurant serves “Indian style Chinese food”

What is Indian style Chinese food?

Well, the cooks who work at this restaurant are Chinese but they were born and raised in India.

And…Since the cooks liked both Indian and Chinese food…they decided to mix the 2 kinds of food together to make “Spicy Chinese Food”

If you look at the pictures the food looks like regular Chinese food but I can assure you that it is very different…it was very, very
…..ORIGINAL…..

I thought the food was pretty delicious and it will be one of my last good memories of 2012.

If you ever go to Vancouver…and want to try something different…try the food here….

I think this restaurant is a perfectly good example of the rich multicultural community that is Vancouver.

Keep up the good work...There is going to be a lot more listening practice this year.....

For the TOEIC people ....
Most of you who were trying to improve your TOEIC scores did...
Some of you REALLY improved your TOEIC scores....
Congratulations

In 2013, the 1st thing we will concentrate on this year will be our vocabulary...as you know we have been doing lots of vocabulary reviews since last year...those are going to continue for the next few months.... So good luck...

Vancouver 2012

Have you ever heard of Costco?

Costco is like a GIANT Watahan....

While Ayako Sensei and I were in Vancouver....
We went shopping at Costco almost everyday with my dad....

Look at the size of some of the food....

Want some ham?

some cheese?

or how about some Apple Pie?

The food was great and the prices were even better....

There are already 13 stores in Japan and there are 2 new ones coming soon...
If Costco ever comes to Nagano.... I recommend that you become a member and shop there.
I will be there FOR SURE!

You can take a look at the Japanese web site....
http://www.costco.co.jp/p/locations

We bought the apple pie that I am holding in the picture...

Mmmmm.....Apple pie!

Ayako, my dad and I ate this pie in less than 2 days...

and my father insisted that we put ice-cream and whip cream on it...

What do you think?  How many calories are in this pie?
What do you think?  How many kilograms did I gain in 1 week?

See you all soon....
from Fat Chris....
